601 West Randolph Tops Off, Parties Hardy

In an event full of that special combination of suits and hardhats that makes bankers pose for selfies, the West Loop’s newest high rise topped off on Tuesday. You weren’t invited.

601 West Randolph is the name of the 15-story building in question, designed by Antunovich Associates for Vista Development. It’s actually at 609 West Randolph, but is using the ID of its older brother next door in order to party while he’s sleeping.

It was West Loop Spy Kurt who popped a champagne cork in our direction on this one. He sent in these photos of the main party on the roof of 601, and the more exclusive gathering on top of 609. (Shhh! Don’t tell the 601’s the cool kids are going upstairs!)

When complete, 601 West Randolph is expected to be 211 feet tall, with 1,171 square feet of ground floor retail. Parking can go jump in the lake.
